Henry Tudor (Tudor is probably the English corruption of the Welsh name Tewdwr) was a Welshman who ended the Wars of the Roses, unified the English monarchy and is the person from whom all subsequent Kings and Queens of both England and Scotland (after James IV of Scotland) are descended. Despite his military success he ruled the country with the efficiency of an accountant leaving his son, Henry VIII a united country, a supportive & submissive nobility and an Exchequer with a vast amount of money.
