Question: Which French King outlived his son and grandson to have his throne inherited by his great-grandson?

Answer: Louis XIV of France. Louis XIV’s son, Le Grand Daupne died in 1711 followed, a year later, by his son. Louis XIV died in 1715 aged 77 leaving the throne to his five-year-old great-grandson who became Louis XV.  

Question: Prussia, Russia and the Austrian-Hungarian Empire partitioned which European country amongst themselves in 1772?
